Keeping your fitness goals is never an easy thing. Trust me, I've broken those goals every year as long as I can remember.
However, this year has been different and I would like to share with you guys some tips on how to keep your goals this year. Not only will you unleash your inner beast, but you'll make the right lifestyle changes for the rest of your life.
Ready for the tips? Let's get started.
#1 - Have the Vision

#1 - Have the Vision
You need to know what you're about to embark on will lead to. There will be a lot of challenges and pain involved to reach your goals so you will need to remind yourself daily or when you need it the most "why" exactly you're doing this.
If there's no solid answer to "why" you are doing this, you will give up and walk away quickly.
Paint the perfect picture of what you hope for and wish to see inside your mind and prepare for hell to make it happen.
#2 - Set Measurable Goals
#2 - Set Measurable Goals
Use numbers in your goals so they can be measured and tracked so you can assess your performance over time.
Some goals aren't meant to be reached... but they can help you push yourself to achieve what you never thought you were capable of.
However, if you can't track your progression, you can easily get discouraged when what you're doing isn't producing the results you expect to see and you will fall off your plan.
#3 - Create the Plan of Attack
#3 - Create the Plan of Attack
Form the plan and routine that will keep driving you forward. This is the routine that you must discipline yourself to keep and do whatever it takes to follow it.
#4 - Assess and Modify Along the Way
Put your plan where you can see daily to remind yourself this is what you need to do today.
#4 - Assess and Modify Along the Way
Life happens so you'll need to adapt when things out of your control occur but you should not allow it to completely take you off your game.
Assess the situation and modify your plan accordingly so you never lose momentum on achieving those goals.
Making modifications to your plans is never a bad thing as long as it doesn't set you back.
#5 - Keep the Right Mindset
You're going to start off focused, determined, and positive, but all that will inevitably wear off. Once the initial high wears off, your mindset determines whether you will push through or fade away.
You need to know you have to put yourself in uncomfortable positions to make shit happen.
Proactively pursuing being uncomfortable will go a long way and will help you achieve your goals and then some.
#6 - No Excuses
#6 - No Excuses
Following the first 5 tips should result in taking away your excuses. If you can handle everything listed above, there is nothing holding you back from making your goals a reality because it's all there. Life will have its ups and downs and an endless array of challenges, but ultimately, it's up to you to overcome them and to make those goals happen no matter what. No excuses!
#7 - Make This Lifelong, Not Temporary
#7 - Make This Lifelong, Not Temporary
If you want to see true results, your fitness goals should not be short term. They should be a complete change in your lifestyle to focus on your health until the end.
Your health is something that money can't buy or fix no matter how rich you get.
Don't take for granted your youth, physical abilities, and energy. Before you know it, they'll be gone and almost impossible to recover as you eventually reach the point of no return. Take the right steps to take care of your physical and mental health NOW and you'll be set for the future.
