DIA Blog 019 - Living Life With Rocks In Your Shoes by H8R

Image
by H8R You know that feeling right? You're moving along through your day, walking down the road or getting in some exercise. Then, BOOM ! It hits you. That sharp, nagging pain of a rock deeply embedded in your shoe right between the insole and the delicate parts of your foot. It's the worst! So, what do you do? But having a lot of tiny annoyances in your life can be just like having &q

Many expats find themselves in an unfamiliar (and sometimes unwelcoming) environment with a host of challenges to face and obstacles to overcome. Take into account that you've also ditched your support system and those expat blues can start to sink in PDQ (pretty damned quick). As people become depressed, they often find comfort in food. If you start to adopt a sedentary lifestyle and put on some extra pounds, this can compound the effects of that expat despair and lead you to a dark, dark place. So what can you do about this? When life gets you down, it's best to get moving! Exercise has been shown to provide many benefits for your physical and mental health including a better mood and sustained energy throughout the day. If you can consistently stick to a fitness plan, you'll find that other parts of your life start to
